Wellbeing & SEL Outcomes Strengthens emotional vocabulary, teaches calming tools, and encourages self-regulation aligned with Self-management capabilities. Why Educators Love It A gentle, joyful starting point for embedding emotional literacy through play. Children explore the foundations of friendship, feelings, and self-regulation using hands-on tools and playful prompts from the Mindful Mushkins Box. With sensory play, calming strategies, and collaborative games, children learn to understand their emotions and care for their inner world all in a way that feels fun, safe, and empowering. This nurturing experience encourages emotional growth through curiosity, connection, and creativity - one feeling at a time. What We Explore Through guided play, sensory tools, and creative group activities, children will: 🎨 Build emotional language using colour-coded feelings tools and expressive play. 🌬️ Practise calming techniques using tactile materials and breathing visuals. 🤝 Strengthen kindness, connection, and teamwork through imaginative games. 🍽️ Visit the “Regulation Restaurant” to explore self-care and social connection. 📖 Use stories, toys, and movement to express emotions in healthy, playful ways. 🧩 Develop early self-regulation strategies they can return to again and again. What Children Grow Each activity is carefully designed to grow the following social and emotional skills: 🛡️ Inner safety – Learning that all feelings are welcome, and that we can choose kind responses. 🧠 Self-awareness – Noticing how emotions feel in the body and naming them with confidence
🌈 Regulation – Practising tools like deep breathing, sensory play, and safe spaces to manage big feelings
🧡 Positive relationships – Taking turns, solving problems, and showing empathy during shared activities
🎨 Self-expression – Using creative outlets like storytelling, drawing, and movement to process emotions
